Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe is a world-famous rock-and-roll themed chain restaurant. IT is well-known for its classic American food, alongside with great music.

This time, Kayden and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe at Sentosa.

Ambience

The Hard Rock Cafe at Sentosa has a very well-decorated interior. The dark and cosy interior is decorated with many different rock-and-roll elements, such as old electric guitars, rock-and-roll style clothes, pictures and many more.

There is also a stage, which features live band performance. However, when we were there, there were no performance. But we can imagine how great of a gathering it would be, to snack on nachos and listen to the performance together.

Food

Classic Nachos – $31.95

The classic nachos is a HUGE plate of tortilla chips, topped with cheese sauce, ranch-style beans, Pico de gallo, spicy jalapenos and pickled red onions. There is also melted cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese on top of it.

I think this dish is actually the best dish out of all the food we ordered! The addition of the beans, salsa, jalapenos and red onions add an additional tanginess and spice to the cheese sauce, making it more flavourful and less jelat.

We ate one after another, and couldn’t stop! I was still telling Kayden that if there’s performance today, we could have just ordered 1 of this and share, and we can munch on it while enjoying the chips!

One thing to note though, is that this portion is HUGE. I think it’s a dish that can be shared amongst a group of 4 or 5, instead of just between 2 people. So do take note if you are ordering.

Original Legendary Burger – $29.95

Other than nachos, we also ordered the legendary burger, (apparently). The grilled black angus steak is put on a freshly toasted bun, with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy onion, along with some fresh vegetables.

When I looked up on the legendary burger, it has won several awards. However, both Kayden and I find that the burger patty is lacking in flavour and is on the dry side. Nevertheless, the addition of bacon and crispy onion did give the burger its extra texture and flavour.

Also, because the burger is so huge and thick, it is slightly messy to eat, and hard to take a bite with all the ingredients in it.

All in all, we did not really fancy this burger.

Fish & Chips – $27.95

We also ordered the fish & chips, which is a sea bass fillet. I don’t really recommend this as I find the fillet too dry and bland. The batter is indeed crispy though, but I think they need to handle the fish better for smooth and tender fillet fish, which is another critical point to good fish & chips.

Overall, the food at hard rock cafe is decent, but definitely not worth its expensive price point. However, if you are there to enjoy a plate of nachos with some beer and music, I think that would be a great hang out place!

Service

The service at hard rock café is great! The service crew is quick to attend to us, whenever needed, and will also advise us when we ordered too much.
