Hamburg Steak Keisuke

Hey guys Kayden here! I believe all of you are familiar with Keisuke ramen right? Me too! My favorite ramen is their lobster ramen! However, today, I want to change things up a bit and review their hamburg steak.

If you think nice ramen is all Keisuke can do, think twice and think hamburg steak.

Food:

Triple cheese prime hamburg steak $20.80

Just look at this close-up of the plump juicy goodness!

So the signature menu here only consists of 2 items! The cheese version (shown above) and the non-cheese version $18.80

They do sell other mains and sides as well but who cares about those>.< I was already super full when I finished their signature and I was very hungry that day!

Anyway, the hamburg steak comes with rice, 1 shrimp tempura, a piece of tofu, and 2 tau pok like things! They also have 4 different sauces to choose from! Demiglas, teriyaki mayonnaise, original (soya-based), and orishi ponzu (grated radish and citrus soya vinegar). Ice chose the demiglace (a bit like barbeque sauce but less sweet) and I chose the original but both of us were not impressed with the sauce… Underwhelming…

Even though the sauce was underwhelming, I have to admit that the hamburg steak was done right! I’m personally not a hamburg fan but both Ice and I found the hamburg steak to be plump and juicy!

Look at the cheese oooooh

Another star player of the dish would be the shrimp tempura where the prawn they used is just so fresh!!

One minor complaint which I had was zero effort was put into the miso soup! No extra ingredients were put inside the boil the soup which makes it really cheap tasting just like many “Japanese” restaurants out there…

Ohh ya they also have a salad bar there which has quite a bit of variety! Also, there’s an egg counter there where the chef will prepare many different kinds of eggs, such as egg okonomiyaki, scrambled egg, and my personal favorite, egg Tamago!

Conclusion:

I feel that even though the food is not mind-blowing, it is good! For ~$24 after GST, it is definitely value for money!!! Not only do you get access to the salad bar, but you also get to eat eggs cooked in various styles!

Do take note that there will be a queue during peak hours. When I was there at around 7 pm, I waited for nearly 40 mins to get a seat! So please do go early to avoid the queue.

That’s all for today! Kayden signing out. ☮️
